Carbometrix — a GHG intelligence system.
Carbometrix is a GHG intelligence system, not a carbon dashboard. It holds the activity data, the factor library, the methodology, the GWP version, and the evidence document together — so the number it produces can be re-derived by someone who does not trust you.
An engine architecture, not a dashboard.
The platform is built as a stack of engines rather than a set of screens. Ingestion takes structured activity data and classifies it by scope, category, and entity. The Emission Factor Intelligence engine matches each activity to a defensible factor and records why that factor was chosen — its source, its boundary, and its GWP version. The calculation engine validates dimensional units before it multiplies anything, then writes a trace that can be re-derived from the source document upward. Above that sit the analytics and decarbonization layers: intensity metrics, hotspot views, reduction levers, and abatement cost ranking. Multi-entity consolidation and base-year restatement are in development, not shipped. Replacing spreadsheets is a side effect of this architecture, not its purpose.
What's included in this service.
We publish what is shipped, what is being built, and what is planned — separately. If a capability matters to your timeline, ask us and we will tell you exactly where it stands.
Scope 1, 2, and 3 inventory calculation
A unified emissions data model covering direct, energy, and value-chain activity data.
Versioned emission factor library
Every factor is versioned, so a recalculation can always be reproduced against the factor set used at the time.
Calculation trace on every figure
Each number can be opened to show the activity data, factor, and formula behind it.
Role-based access control
Access to entities, data sources, and figures is scoped by user role.
Multi-entity consolidation
Group-level roll-up across subsidiaries and sites with configurable organizational boundaries.
Per-gas accounting with explicit GWP versioning
Separate CO2, CH4, N2O and F-gas reporting with the GWP set (AR5 / AR6) stated on every result.
Approval workflow
Review and sign-off steps before an inventory period is locked.
Scenario and abatement modelling
Model reduction levers and compare pathways before committing capex.
Marginal abatement cost curves (MACC)
Rank reduction measures by cost per tonne of CO2e avoided.
Target tracking aligned with SBTi pathways
Set reduction targets and track actual performance against an SBTi-aligned pathway.
Disclosure export pack (GHG Protocol / CDP / TCFD / IFRS S1-S2)
One-click export into the reporting formats auditors and disclosure frameworks expect.
ERP, utility, and IoT connectors
Automated ingestion from source systems instead of manual uploads.
SRN-PPI aligned Indonesia module
Reporting fields and workflows for domestic carbon-market participation.
Base-year restatement with change log
Recalculate historical periods after a structural change, with the reason and the affected figures recorded.
PSPK-ready data fields
Data model extended to carry the fields Indonesian reporting regimes require. Field list still being verified.
A four-step engagement, from scoping to hand-over.
- Step 01
Onboard
Configure organisational boundaries, entities, and data sources with your team.
- Step 02
Ingest
Structured imports with unit validation and classification before anything lands.
- Step 03
Calculate
Factor matching with the reason recorded, then calculation with a full trace.
- Step 04
Use
Analytics, reduction modelling, and export of the traced inventory for auditors.
The seven engines.
Carbometrix is built as seven connected engines. Each one is published with its real status — we would rather understate than overstate.
- 01
Ingestion & Classification
Structured imports of activity data, normalised and classified into scope, category, and entity.
Available - 02
Emission Factor Intelligence
Matches an activity to a defensible factor, and records the source, boundary, GWP version, and reason for the match.
In development - 03
Calculation Engine
Validates dimensional units before multiplying, then writes a re-derivable trace for every figure.
Available - 04
Boundary & Consolidation
Holds organisational boundaries and rolls figures up across entities without blending incompatible boundaries.
In development - 05
Analytics
Intensity metrics, period comparison, and hotspot views built on the traced inventory.
In development - 06
Decarbonization
Reduction levers, scenario comparison, abatement cost ranking, and target pathways.
In development - 07
Reporting & Disclosure
Export packs shaped to the formats auditors and disclosure frameworks expect.
Planned
Status refers to the engine's core function in the product today, not to a release plan.
What makes a calculation trustworthy.
Four rules the engine enforces, rather than four rules the documentation recommends.
Dimensional unit validation
The engine refuses to multiply a litre of diesel by a factor expressed per tonne. Unit mismatches are blocked, not silently coerced.
Explicit GWP versioning
Every factor declares AR4, AR5, or AR6. The platform will not aggregate across versions without telling you.
Boundary labelling
Process-only and cradle-to-gate factors are tagged and never blended inside one category.
Factor quarantine
A newly added emission factor is unreachable by any calculation until a human has verified it against the source document.
Runs without us.
Carbometrix does not require an advisory engagement. Onboarding configures your organisational boundaries, entities, and factor libraries with your team, then hands over. Our advisory practice is available if you want it — some clients use it for a first reporting cycle and then run independently — but it is not a condition of the licence.
SRN-PPI and PSPK readiness.
The data model is being built to carry the fields Indonesian reporting regimes require, including SRN-PPI and PSPK. This work is in development or planned, per the capability list above.
We do not claim SRN-PPI or PSPK compliance. We claim only that the data structure is being designed to carry those fields once their requirements are confirmed.
Where Carbometrix is going
Carbometrix is built in the open. This is our current direction — dates are indicative and may shift as standards and engagement priorities evolve.

The outcomes this service is built to deliver.
Every figure can be re-derived from its activity data, factor, methodology, GWP version, and source document.
Unit mismatches and blended boundaries are blocked by the engine, not discovered later in an audit.
Versioned emission factors keep prior-period calculations reproducible.
Model reduction scenarios before committing capex.
One governed workspace in place of scattered spreadsheets.
Licensed standalone, with no advisory engagement required.
Frequently asked questions.
Can Carbometrix be licensed without consultancy?+
Yes. The licence stands on its own. Onboarding includes configuration with your team and then hands over. Advisory is optional.
What standards do the calculations follow?+
Calculations follow the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064. Export packs for CDP, TCFD, and IFRS S1/S2 are planned — see the capability list above.
Can it integrate with our existing systems?+
Not yet. ERP, utility, and IoT connectors are planned; today data is loaded through structured imports.
How does a new emission factor enter the library?+
Through quarantine. A new factor is unreachable by any calculation until a human verifies it against the source document, with its boundary and GWP version recorded.
